  4. RED CLIFF // (TRAILER)

    john woo’s red cliff, the most expensive asian film to date, is about to be released in the usa, albeit an edited down version.  the original release was 2-parts, released in asia last year (part 1) and this year (part 2).

    for those who don’t know, the film is based on the three kingdoms period of ancient china, a war-infested era that has spawned numerous legends and of course video games, cartoons, comics, etc.  now, we get to see it an epic film version…

     
  5. SISTER STREET FIGHTER (TRAILER) // 1974

    step your film game up if you haven’t seen sister street fighter.  it’s an old 70’s japanese production, but the story is based in the streets of hong kong and is about revenge, drug lords, various martial arts gangs (kung-fu, karate, muay thai), etc.

    and it stars the legendary sonny chiba.  classic!
