some new new from the genius, raphael saadiq.
for those of you who know me, yall are probably sick of me always talking about saadiq this, saadiq that. well, what can i say…i was honored to have spent all that time at his studio, watching him and his team work on magic.
while to him, i was likely just another fly on the wall, for me…those experiences have helped shape my life today. i’ve walked away from a lot of money for a young dude to pursue music instead—instead of having a safe but lucrative life in corporate america. people like him (and probably jay-j hernandez) have been key figures in my life, and they don’t even know it. from the time i’ve got to spend with these masters at their studios, in their element, i was able to conclude that this pursuit of happiness is worth it—even if the money aint what it could be.
